She's one of the hardest working stars in Hollywood, but you wouldn't know it looking at the care she puts into her children's appearance.
Jessica Alba stepped out for a shopping trip in Beverly Hills yesterday with her eldest daughter, looking effortlessly chic in a pair of baggy sweat pants - as only an A-lister can.
But it was three-year-old Honor who stole the fashion show, in a cute yellow jumpsuit, white denim jacket and yellow Alice band in her hair.
Miniature style: Jessica Alba took her daughter Honor on a shopping trip to Barney's in Beverly Hills yesterday
The smiley child wore white bobby socks under trendy buckled sneakers and completed her outfit with a miniature bright orange handbag slung over her shoulder.
Mother Jessica, meanwhile, topped her baggy trousers with a white and metallic tank top, taupe scarf and what appeared to be sweat pants, shielding her eyes with grey sunglasses.
She carried a cool drink and held Honor's hand as they walked to the car park of Barney's on Wilshire Boulevard, one of Beverly Hills' most exclusive shopping destinations.
Girl time: The girls spent quality time together before Jessica heads to France today for Paris Fashion Week
Earlier in the day, the 31-year-old star indulged in a manicure and pedicure.
The Into the Blue star was preparing for her trip to Paris with best friend Kelly Sawyer.
The two flew to the City of Lights last night, most likely to attend events for Paris Fashion Week.
Jessica tweeted a picture of herself and Kelly on the plane, writing: 'Matching British airways pjs...nerds!'
In demand: Jessica runs a full schedule, juggling her acting career with her role as a mother to two girls and her eco-friendly children's products business.
Sunshine smiles: The mother daughter duo looked to be in good spirits on their weekday outing in Beverly Hills
Upon landing in the European city, she tweeted: 'Where should @Kelly Sawyer & I dine tonight in Paris?'
The in-demand actress was this week filming the action exploitation film Machete Kills, a sequel to director Robert Rodriguez's 2010′s cult favourite Machete.
Jessica, who appeared in the first film, is reprising her role as U.S. immigration Agent Sartana Rivera.
Keeping cool: Jessica and Honor left Barney's on Wilshire Boulevard with only a cool iced drink
She injured her foot on the set of the film last week, but appears to have made a full recovery.
Jessica is mother to two girls, Honor and 10-month-old Haven - her children with husband, Cash Warren.
She juggles her acting and parenting roles with her environmentally themed business, The Honest Company, which specialises in eco-friendly, non-toxic baby, skin and home care essentials.

High rise and mall of mighty Quinn - The Sun
The massive pile includes shopping centres, plush hotels and a TOWER of offices.
The properties are located in countries such as Russia, Turkey, Ukraine, India, Belize, Czech Republic and British Virgin Islands.
Anglo Irish Bank — now State-owned and rebranded as the Irish Bank Resolution Corporation — wants to get its hands on these properties for itself and the Irish taxpayer.
Court actions have erupted in six countries — some by IBRC to get the money and others by the Quinn family to keep the properties.
The international portfolio represents the only hope for the bank to recover some of the €2.8billion it is owed by Quinn.
IBRC also claims it has “no idea” what happened to around €27million worth of rent from the portfolio, which cannot be located.
The asset stripping was done systematically in countries like Ukraine and Russia, where individuals would claim they were owed millions against a particular asset. Their claim would be upheld by local courts and the asset quickly transferred to an offshore company beyond the reach of IBRC.
The issue for the High Court last week was to decide whether the Quinns were hiding their assets after a court injunction was put in place on June 27 last year.
The Quinns vehemently denied any wrongdoing, but Judge Elizabeth Dunne ruled against them and found some of their evidence to be “evasive” and “untruthful”.
Sean Quinn, his son Sean and nephew Peter Darragh were given three weeks to reverse steps they took to stash away the property or face the prospect of prison time.
Cross-border shopping rules hit Canadian stores - CBC
Canadian merchants say they're bracing themselves for a difficult Canada Day long weekend which comes one month after the introduction of expanded duty-free limits on shopping in the U.S.
Canadian retailers say they have already been hit hard since the government increased duty-free limits, effective June 1, in this year’s federal budget.
The limit on spending for visits of more than 24 hours quadrupled from $50 to $200. Visits longer than 48 hours allows Canadians to return with duty-free goods worth up to $800, up from $400.
Shafiq Jamal, Vice President of the Retail Council of Canada, says the effect on sales was immediate.
"It's not just limited to locations close to the border. It's having a general negative impact on Lower Mainland stores overall," said Jamal.
"Our members, whether it's independent members we represent, right through to mid to large retailers here in British Columbia, are feeling the negative impact."
Canadian deals
Douglas Porter, deputy chief economist for BMO Capital Markets, published a report in May titled Cross-Border Shopping: Here Comes the Flood.
In that report, Porter estimated that cross-border shopping already drains more than $20 billion from domestic retail sales.
The Retail Council of Canada is still crunching the numbers for June, but Jamal says there is already anecdotal evidence.
"You can't argue when members are giving you that information and telling you what kind of impact it's having on the business because they're seeing it daily,” he said.
But Jamal says local retailers give generously to the communities in which they do business and will be offering deals this Canada Day long weekend, hoping to keep some of that business in this country.

ICEGREEN Introduces Reusable Shopping Bags as the New ‘Green’ Way to Shop - YAHOO!
Going green is top of mind for today’s consumer and reusable shopping bags are the answer they’ve been looking for.
Toronto, Ontario (PRWEB) June 30, 2012
Toronto City Council has recently announced the ban of plastic shopping bags. As of January 1, 2013, plastic shopping bags will be out and reusable shopping bags will be the new carrier of choice for consumers and retailers. Now, more than ever, environmental concerns like global warming and pollution have shoppers looking for a greener way to spend. In order to address these increasingly prominent issues, ICEGREEN is listening and has developed a stylish solution for consumers concerns. Now that plastic bags are scheduled to become extinct, ICEGREEN has created a line of reusable shopping bags that are both durable and stylish. While consumers have been slowly warming up to the idea of reusable shopping bags over plastic shopping bags, ICEGREEN wants to make sure that consumers are also aware of how to best use and maintain them.
Major urban centers like Los Angeles are moving to ban plastic shopping bags in supermarkets all together and with Toronto not far behind this new trend, ICEGREEN has developed a line of customizable reusable bags for retailers. They can now choose from customized reusable shopping bags, thermal bags, paper bags, eco-friendly poly bags, nylon bags and tree-free stone paper bags as an alternative to plastic. These reusable bags are made with a wide range of eco-friendly materials that contain recyclable content. “The choices we offer retailers translates into satisfied customers who feel good about using the product,” says David Lawson, ICEGREEN Eco Packaging founder and president. Seattle and San Francisco are also making the move to banning plastic shopping bags and it won’t be long before many other North American cities follow suit.
With today’s consumer concerned with their personal ecological footprint, retailers are becoming more aware that there is a need to help their customers reach this environmental goal. ICEGREEN is one of North America’s fastest growing manufacturers and suppliers of contaminant-free and lead-free reusable bags and carries a wide-variety of customizable, stylish and commercially viable packaging options including reusable bags for retail, thermal bags, paper bags and several other eco-friendly options for consumers and retailers.
When it comes to learning about how to clean and maintain these eco-friendly bags, ICEGREEN has become the go-to source for consumers and retailers alike, offering tips when it comes to the practice of using recyclable and reusable bags and packaging products. “Consumers should be aware that certain foods, such as raw meat, fish and poultry can contain bacteria that cause foodborne illnesses,” says David Lawson, “We recommend that you wash bags regularly, especially after transporting fresh produce, meat, poultry or fish to avoid cross-contamination,” he says. It is recommended that all bags be rinsed or laundered to avoid the contamination from microbes and bacteria that can cause illness.
When January 2013 arrives, ICEGREEN is prepared with a large inventory of reusable shopping bags and a wealth of helpful and health related information for consumers in Toronto, Ontario and beyond.

Where Are All The iPad Shopping Apps? - TechCrunch
For a tech company founder in San Francisco, I’m a terribly late adopter of new technology. My buddy in med school had a smart phone before I did. The iPhone was out for a year before I bought the 3G. The iPad? I’m embarrassed to admit, I got my first one a month ago.
I held out on the iPad because I didn’t get it. It didn’t have retina display, and comparing the screen after looking at the iPhone 4, it just seemed… pixelated. My friends who had the original version bought them as a novelty, which quickly seemed to wear off. I didn’t know what I would do with one once I had one.
So, when I finally buckled and got the iPad 3, I came to the realization that the rest of the world had over 2 years ago: the iPad is an amazing consumption device. You don’t need a keyboard, because if you’re doing any work at all it will be to send iPhone length one-liner emails. Most of what you’ll be doing on the iPad is playing games, watching videos and shopping.
There’s a plethora of iPad games, and you can download almost any movie or tv show from iTunes, but the shopping experience leaves a lot to be desired. When I first turned on the iPad, I went through and downloaded all the popular apps I recognized. In the shopping / ecommerce category, this was Gilt and Fab.
Both of these companies have amazing iPad experiences. For a while, I was browsing them every day; not because I actually needed to buy anything, but because I enjoyed the virtual window shopping experience of browsing through amazing photos of cool looking products. As any retailer knows, getting people in the store is half the battle, and pretty soon I was back to buying things off Gilt (when I had previously sworn off of it after their fulfillment sent me the wrong thing on multiple orders).
Inspired to find some shopping apps that weren’t flash sales sites, I simply couldn’t find any decent ones. All the apps for department stores and brands seemed like screenshots of their websites. In most of them, I couldn’t even purchase anything.
The ecommerce experience for iPad has been dominated by the deals sites because the deals sites are the only retailers heavily innovating on the technology side. That doesn’t have to be the case. The thing that makes a Gilt or Fab iPad app stand out is that they are extremely polished and conducive to casual browsing, which leads to serendipitous discovery and purchase. Also, they have a great excuse to bring you back in their “store” with a push notification every day — they have a new batch of inventory for you to check out.
Therere a couple other reasons iPads are natural platforms for ecommerce. On iPads shoppers are in a different state of mind (they are relaxing instead of being distracted with work or IM), and are more likely to make impulse purchases. Also, because of the high switching cost of opening up new tabs in Safari or switching between apps (when compared with a browser), a well designed app can keep users engaged for much longer than they would be on the web.
I think the next generation of ecommerce apps for iPad will focus less on the discounting and more on creating an amazing curated browsing experience. Recently, I got a preview build of an app called Monogram by founder Leo Chen (who I’m now advising), which does exactly that: curates collections of clothing from around the web, bringing the user a personalized boutique that updates every day with new outfit suggestions. Like Gilt, the emphasis on the app is about browsing and discovery. When I’m using apps like Monogram and Gilt, I find myself spending more time and browsing/buying more products than I ever do on the web. Apparently I’m not the only one.
A couple things I think this next generation of apps will have to figure out:
- Some way of differentiating their product inventory. Some will be vertically integrated companies that are bringing their own designs to market, like Everlane or Warby Parker. Others will focus on curation of existing products. I personally have been waiting for a store that curates the very best item I can own in every category, and tells me why it is the best.
- A great offline experience. Few companies in the ecommerce space have focused on innovating on what happens after you checkout with your shopping cart, and they all happen to be owned by Amazon (Amazon, Quidsi, Zappos). I believe there’s a lot of room to innovate in how products are packaged and delivered, and not many people are doing that at the moment.
Right now the iPad is like an entire country of 60 million consumers with only a few stores competing for their purchases. The denizens of iPadlandia are waiting to buy your awesome stuff. Why are you not letting them?
The Apple iPad, formerly referred to as the Apple Tablet, is a touch-pad tablet computer announced in January 2010, and released in April 2010. It has internet capabilities running on either WiFi or 3G, and offers an optional dock with a full size mechanical keyboard. The iPad is a line of tablet computers designed, developed and marketed by Apple Inc. primarily as a platform for audio-visual media including books, periodicals, movies, music, games, and web content.
